We know that size matters in MMA. Bigger fighters finish more fights. But bigger fighters primarily finish by strikes, so it’s not just a higher finish rate, it’s a different mix of finishes. Finally, I’ve summarized modern UFC finishes by method and division. All in one place. All in one graph.
Dataset includes all UFC fights, 2006 through June of 2012, 1442 total fights
*Other includes draws, no contests, injuries (eye pokes) and overturned fights
